The return of Noah Johnson, the high school janitor after a bout of "grip," tops the news about African Americans in Maysville, Kentucky. The schools had in January been shut for more than a week by the Fuel Committee as a result of the bitter cold weather. There is further relief for conditions in the community with the arrival of a shipment of 5000 pounds of sugar, and the good prices at the tobacco auction.
