Conditions Good. The epidemics in the national guard and army camps are reported as "very good." Deaths have increased from 18 to 223 in the week. In the natonal army camps 73 deaths were from pneumonia. Mumps and influenza are prevalent in many of the national army camps. Pneumonia is increased among the regulars in particular in the air and southern sections. Grain prices are down as a result of war news. Grover Cleveland Alexander ("Alex") shutout Oakland in Chicago's game against the Pacific Coast League team.
