The African American St Mary Chapter of the Morgan City Red Cross is commended by the local chair. Their first class work should insure slackers to greater patriotism. May 28 is set by the Council of National Defense as Babies Day, where mothers and guardians are encouraged to weigh their children under age 6 and get them a check-up.
