Death rates in Philadelphia have dropped since the prior week, and from the equivalent week the year prior. Of the 552 deaths 4 were from influenza, and 48 from pneumonia. Edward DeValera and other leaders of Sinn Fein are arrested charged with conspiring with the Germans. In West Philadelphia the housing committee is meeting to investigate allegations of rental gouging.
