The German Army remains weak from the influenza. The Committee on Public Information story is widely published, warning it is better to depend upon American strength than German weakness to bring a conclusion the war. Von Hindenburg is rumored dead after a row with the Kaiser, and in Maysville, Kentucky more deserters are jailed.
