Louisiana ratifies the Prohibition Amendment with  single vote in the Senate. the War Department issued an order on July 22 that African American nurses would serve the 38,000  African American troops at Camps Funston, Grant, Dodge, Taylor, Sherman and Dix. Pershing has been asked by there Red Cross whether he needs the same service in France.
