Lenin and Trotsky are reported to have hidden at the Kronstadt naval base as the Czech-Slovak army advances on Petrograd. Government agents were sprinkled among the socialist party convention in Chicago, Eugene Debs described the world struggle as a "capitalist war." Scott Nearing calls for a university of Socialism.
