Six children in a family in Germany are dead from "undernourishment." The Social Democratic Party newspaper (Vorwaerts) doubt the official explanation: "tuberculosis brought on by deficient mental conditions." The Committee on Public Information reports Mary Cottrell from Scranton, PA has a husband and nine brothers in arms, but does not want a service flag, knowledge of their helping Uncle Sam is sufficient.
