Dr Copeland, NYC Health Director, blames the illness aboard the Norwegian liner on the Gulf Stream and unusual heat rather than influenza. A well-known Westchester, NY defends himself against the charge of sedition under the espionage act that he must have been drunk if he said "The Germans will win the war."
