The Philadelphia Tuberculosis Committee has issued guidelines for treating influenza. There are a thousand cases at the Navy Yard, health director Krusen says there is no need for alarm. Colonel Doane head of the sanitation section of the Philadelphia shipyard, speculates that the spanish influenza may have been brought into the Atlantic seaboard by by Hun (German) submarines.
