The Fly is a poem that encourages readers to disregard propaganda and fake news ("The Red Cross sells the things we knit"/"Our camps are evil - men unfit.") that is undermining the war effort. The poem runs above a listing of the top causes of death - pneumonia, influenza and tuberculosis are all included. Elsewhere on the page there is encouragement to follow more wheatless days (more can be sent to the AEF) and meatless Mondays.
