The County Physician for Greenwood, Mississippi reports a "light" load. The report appears just above a commercial for the laxative Laxfos with Pepsin. This is relative in terms of contemporary conditions: there are 243 cases of malaria, 66 cases of influenza, 7 cases of pellagra, as well as cases of whooping cough, pneumonia, diphtheria and measles. Mississippi also becomes the first legislature to act on the national alcohol prohibition amendment.
