"Grippe will not be so fashionable when it becomes generally known that many of our army mules are suffering from infleunza." is one of the few reference to influenza on this day. It apprears in the Jasper, Indiana press among a series of aphorisms about the sugar shortage, school closings and the observation that the pneumonia and meninigitis in the army camps should be "bansished for cause."
