Future President Herbert Hoover will be leading relief to the starving people of Belgium, shipping 90,000 tons of food in 90 days to the estimated 10 million facing shortage. There are 359 Belgians visiting Omaha, Nebraska to a royal welcome. McAdoo's firing of the railroad executives is causing dismay in the industry.
