The Lancaster, SC newspaper is calling for the firing of the Southern railroad attorney Benjamin Abney, because he spoke out against the Red Cross. The SC legislature is considering drafting the idle. Ten new ships were delivered to the emergency fleet. Mary and Henry Turner were lynched in Valdosta, Georgia.
