Kissing friends and relatives is discouraged by New York health commissioner Copeland, even as bacteriological studies suggest the outbreak is a mild grippe or common cold. Sick people are discouraged from taking train and other public transportation. A large turnout is expected for the election of officers at the War Mothers of Maryland convention.
