African American troops described as fine soldiers under French command are holding the defense in the Argonne. June 2 is declared stamp drive day in Minnesota. "Jay walking" is being targeted by the Ripple, MN chief of police, the newspaper provides an illustration of the concept of not crossing at the corner.
